The Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, visited Cafe@MarketSt on Saturday 16 August to launch the venue’s new menu and their new live sports offering.
The vegetarian café and bar, located at 2 Market Street, opened in March 2025 and have received reviews describing them as offering a lovely ambience, great coffee, tasty food and an extensive collection of beer, cocktails, mocktails and soft drinks.
The family-owned business has now launched a brand-new menu and operate with Sky Sports on their TVs to entertain customers. Their owner was delighted to have Peter Taylor join them to kickstart their new offering:
“It was great to host the mayor last Saturday. He really liked our venue, the new menu we have launched and more importantly the live sports addition!
We are a unique Watford cafe offering a live sports experience with people able to spend time with family and kids enjoying a nice meal and a game of football, cricket, rugby and more.
We chose our balloon colour theme last Saturday to match Watford football club colours, as Watford had a home game (which Watford won!) this was well received as many stopped by our cafe to grab some food and drink prior to going to the stadium.
Overall, a great day and perfect launchpad for our new menu and live sports launch!”
