The much-loved Pancake Race returns to Watford on Tuesday 17 February 2026, bringing businesses, families and the wider community together in the heart of the town.
Taking place from 2:00pm at the newly named Pondside event space in Watford Town Centre, the event is being jointly organised by Watford Mencap, Watford Town Centre BID, Watford Three Rivers Trust and Watford Borough Council.
The race will feature a mix of business relay races, accessible races and children’s races, ensuring the event is welcoming and inclusive for everyone. All participants will receive a medal.
Event highlights include:
- Business relay races (teams of four, pre-registration required)
- Accessible race, free to enter with carers attending free of charge
- Children’s races (under 10s and 10–14s)
- Post-race refreshments at the Café in the Library
Pancakes and frying pans are being provided by West Herts College, and the event is proudly supported by Everyone Active.
Businesses already showing their support include teams from Watford Borough Council, Watford Town Centre BID, Harlequin Watford and Everyone Active.
Entry details:
- Business teams: £100 per team of four
- Accessible and pre-registered children’s races: £3 entry fee
All funds raised will be split between Watford Mencap and the Watford Community Fund.
