The statutory guidance for the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (also known as Martyn’s Law) has been released today by the UK Home Office. Please find a link to the guidance and supplementary documents here: The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 – GOV.UK.  Alongside the statutory guidance, the Home Office confirmed it is continuing to develop a wider package of supporting material to help organisations understand the requirements of the Act and prepare for commencement. As and when we learn about these, we will share these with you.

Whilst those that fall within scope of the Act may wish to begin considering the requirements, there is no requirement to comply with them until the legislation comes into force. The Home Office encourages those wishing to find out more to refer to Protect UK (https://www.protectuk.police.uk/) which hosts a range of Martyn’s Law materials, including links to the Section 27 guidance: https://www.protectuk.police.uk/martyns-law.
