On Wednesday 18 October, Home-Start Watford hosted a fantastic event to celebrate 30 years of their outstanding charity services.
Home-Start Watford, Three Rivers & Hertsmere provide practical and emotional support to families in their own home and in groups, including working with young children and parents struggling to cope with family life. The volunteers provide invaluable support and instil confidence in parents, as well as encouraging involvement with the wider community.
The event, hosted at Halsey Hall on Rickmansworth Road, included wonderful presentations from volunteers, fundraisers, corporate funders and families that had received vital care & support from the Home-Start team. The commitment and high standards of the organisation is to be hugely admired, and all attendees benefitted from hearing and seeing first-hand the difference that Home-Start had made in the local community.
