Watford Town Centre BID is bringing free Halloween fun to the heart of Watford with “Trick or Treat Week”, combining a half-term ghost trail with an evening of street entertainment and a brand-new haunted house.

Running from 26 – 31 October 2026, the campaign invites families to dress up, explore the town centre and enjoy a series of spooky experiences.
The Trick or Treat Trail takes place from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, between 10am and 4pm daily. Ten large inflatable ghosts will be hiding in participating shop windows along Watford High Street and The Parade.
When families spot a ghost, they can step inside the business and say “Trick or Treat!” to a member of staff to collect a sweet treat. Halloween fancy dress is encouraged!
Trail teams can also enter a prize draw to win a £100 Watford Gift Card by submitting a selfie with a ghost in the background, together with their team name. Each different ghost photographed earns one entry, giving teams up to ten chances to win. The winner will be announced the week after half term.

The Halloween celebrations continue on Saturday 31 October, when the Trick or Treat Show comes to Pondside, The Parade, from 5pm to 6pm.
Visitors can enjoy free spooky street performances, including Halloween-themed dances and a contortionist, with costumes encouraged to help bring the Halloween atmosphere to life.
New for 2026, a free haunted house will also open on Pondside from 3pm to 7pm, giving visitors an extra fright before or after the show.
Together, the two events offer families an opportunity to enjoy Halloween in Watford while discovering the shops, cafés, restaurants and other businesses around the town centre.
