Glow in One mini golf, found at 135 The Parade, now has an external defibrillator located just outside their venue which has been funded by Watford Town Centre BID.
The defibrillator is officially registered with the local ambulance service and readily available for public use, it could prove to be vital equipment in saving the lives of others. This is the second defibrillator to be funded by Watford Town Centre BID, with the first being located inside The Moon Under Water pub found at 144 Watford High Street.
Watford Town Centre is extremely grateful to co-owners Craig & Sandra Hawkes for hosting such an integral piece of equipment and allowing the use of the venue’s electricity. We strongly encourage as many Watford Town Centre users as possible to familiarise themeselves with how to use a defibrillator, the information can be found on the St John Ambulance website.
Craig Hawkes, co-owner of Glow in One, said: “We were both very keen to have a defibrillator at Glow in One as we know first hand how important they are. Sandra’s dad passed away from a heart attack 30 years ago and had a defibrillator been around things could have been very different. We’ve also witnessed someone having a heart attack in public, which was quite distressing.
When we first opened Glow in One, it was something we felt very strongly about wanting to have. Once we found out that Watford Town Centre BID were looking for somewhere to put one, we jumped at the chance. We’ve already learnt how to use one on a first aid course but the great thing is, as this one is placed outside, it’s accessible 24 hours a day, for public use”.
Glow in One is a fantastic venue for families and friends to have fun in their glow in the dark, 14-hole mini golf course. From a funky and urban layout to a glowing galactic course, it really is a striking venue that offers a great activity, particularly for the little one’s birthday party.
