Watford Council are inviting input from local residents, license holders, schools, public authorities, and stakeholders regarding the licensing policy in the town: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/slpconsultation
The council is particularly interested in feedback on the Cumulative Impact Policy, designed to discourage alcohol-focused establishments in the town centre and promote restaurants, cafes, food establishments, and entertainment venues.
This strategy is based on evidence from the Police regarding alcohol-related offenses in the town centre. The current cumulative impact policy, established in April 2021, requires review by April 2024. The council propose renewing and maintaining this policy and seek input on this approach through this consultation.
