Watford Town Centre will host a brand-new, FREE summer event called Watford Fringe Festival Presents: Cultural Party on Saturday 28 June 2025.

The Watford Pump House Theatre have partnered with Watford Town Centre BID, Watford Borough Council and Warner Bros. Studios to organise an extravaganza celebrating Watford community, culture, and a taste of the Watford Fringe Festival.

Watford Fringe Festival Presents: Cultural Party will take place outdoors on The Parade event space, by the pond, from 3:00pm – 10:00pm on 28 June.  There will be a grand stage hosting a variety of live entertainment throughout the day, creating a buzzing atmosphere and showcasing the best of Watford’s community and culture.

Attendees can expect wonderful live music, spectacular dance performances and an array of vibrant decorations and colours.  The organising partners want to bring a fun, friendly, diverse event to our town to mark the beginning of the Watford Fringe Festival – the ninth edition of the popular annual event taking place from 1 – 31 July this year.  Visit watfringe.co.uk for ticketing information and to find out more details about what’s in store for this year.

Lee Farman, Chair of the Pump House Theatre and Arts Trust said, “We are excited to be working with Watford Town Centre, Watford Borough Council and the whole Watford community on an extravaganza that will launch the Watford Fringe Festival with local and International talent in the heart of Watford.

It will give an entertaining taste of the festival that runs for the whole of July in 20+ venues across Watford, Bushey and Oxhey with over 120 performances, offering something for all ages and tastes.  Watford is a thriving cultural destination, and this festival aims to show off the best of local talent as well as bring quality Edinburgh Fringe shows to Watford audiences.”

Kara Mesiano, Watford Town Centre BID’s manager, said: “We are delighted to partner on the Cultural Party and add another thrilling activation to our ever-increasing calendar of Watford Town Centre events.  Our aim is to bring people into our vibrant town to stay for an evening of entertainment whilst showcasing the very best of the Watford Town Centre experience.

We hope the Cultural Party generates a positive community feel and leaves attendees wanting to visit our town and its businesses throughout the summer and beyond.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor said: “Watford’s rich mix of cultures is one of our greatest strengths, and the Cultural Party is a brilliant way to celebrate the diversity and talent in our town. I’m really excited to see the Watford Fringe Festival return — it gets bigger and better each year. We’re proud to support it and to be working with the fantastic teams at the Pump House, BID and Warner Bros. to bring this new event to life.”

A reminder that the Cultural Party is FREE, and you do not need to register to attend; simply visit The Parade event space and you’ll be able to enjoy the summer fun!
