Control the Controllable – Managing Business Risk

Join us for an exciting in-person event at the University of Hertfordshire de Havilland Campus. This event aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage risk in various aspects of business. If you’re a business owner and are interested in risk management, this event is perfect for you. Our expert speakers will share practical tips and strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.

Are you prepared for any eventuality?

In business not everything will always go to plan and you will need to manage risk. If risk turns into reality you need to be able to respond quickly and continue to operate even after disaster strikes.

By focusing on controlling the controllable you can take steps to build your business resilience and grow.  Business continuity management is a process that identifies potential threats to your business and the impact that these threats would have on its operations if they were to occur. It provides a framework for increasing resilience within your business and creating an effective, planned response to threats in order to safeguard the interests of its key stakeholders, its brand and reputation.

Speakers:

  • Lynne Ceeney, Director of Environmental Sustainability, Growth and Environment, Hertfordshire County Council.
  • Kieran Thorpe, Hertfordshire Growth Hub:
  • Sam Hudson, BBfA
  • Inspector Jim Stevenson, Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre:
  • Peter Smits, Ashbourne Insurance:
  • Suzzanna Austin,  Federation of Small Business (FSB)
