Watford Community Vs Homelessness
On Friday 1st March, One YMCA are joining forces with Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust, Herts Young Homeless, Dens and New Hope for a very special Sleepout at Watford FC’s iconic Vicarage Road Stadium!
The event aims to bring the local community together to raise awareness of homelessness in Watford and the surrounding districts and raise funds to help combat homelessness, as well as providing a rare and exciting opportunity to experience what the stadium is like when all the match-day supporting fans have gone home.
You will be swapping the comfort of your bed for a sleeping bag overlooking the pitch from the Rookery Stand. During the evening, this unique event will feature special guests and ambassadors from Herts Young Homeless as well as the other participating charities to provide awareness and information on the services they provide to tackle homelessness.
There will be food and refreshments available during the event, as well as a range of activities to take part in, more information on this to follow.
All the money raised will be split equally between the five participating charities.
