Is Watford Clarendon BID a separate organisation to Watford Town Centre BID?

Watford Clarendon BID is a newly established BID and operates independently of Watford Town Centre BID. Its formation does not impact the levy arrangements, budget, or operational framework of Watford Town Centre BID. Both BIDs are managed by Watford BID Ltd, ensuring alignment and strategic cohesion across both areas.

How will Watford Town Centre BID and Watford Clarendon BID work successfully in tandem?

The BID team will actively seek and deliver collaborative opportunities across both BIDs to maximise impact. For example, initiatives aimed at enhancing the Clarendon experience – such as improvements to cleanliness, maintenance and the public realm – will not only benefit Clarendon Road but will also strengthen the key gateway into Watford Town Centre from Watford Junction station, encouraging increased visitor footfall.

Additionally, joint initiatives such as exclusive discount schemes for businesses across both BIDs will be introduced to encourage local employees to support nearby retailers and hospitality venues during lunchtime and after working hours. There will also be a focus on promoting local supply chains by encouraging businesses to procure goods and services within the BID areas. Dedicated resources will be allocated to ensure that businesses across both Watford Clarendon and Watford Town Centre fully benefit from these initiatives.

Which members of the BID team will be working on each BID?

Watford BID Ltd, the organisation responsible for the governance and management of both Watford Town Centre BID and Watford Clarendon BID, has announced a new organisational structure for its BID team.
