Watford Town Centre BID, along with Watford’s Community Safety Partnership, are proud to once again deliver the “Safer After Dark” campaign on Friday 28 November, 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Charter Place, Harlequin Shopping Centre.

Safer After Dark is delivered by Watford’s Community Safety Partnership, which includes Hertfordshire Constabulary, Watford Borough Council and Harlequin Watford.

This important initiative aims to reassure and support local female residents, employees and visitors by promoting safety and awareness after dark.  During the event, our teams will be sharing information on:

  • How to stay safe on a night out (including the Ask Angela/Ask Clive schemes)
  • Local support services available for anyone who feels unsafe or needs assistance
  • Practical safety tools, including anti-spiking kits, personal alarms, and torches

The key message of Safer After Dark is clear — Watford is a safe town and our partnership network stands firmly against violence against women and girls (VAWG). Together, we want to ensure that everyone feels safe and supported in our town centre.

We would be delighted for you and your organisation to join us, show your support, and help us spread this important message.

Thank you for your continued support in making Watford a safe and welcoming place for all.
